By targeting more of your body on the same day, you can actually get more benefits to your overall fitness as you’re challenging your body more.
It Saves Time
If you’re trying to be as efficient as possible with your training, targeting multiple muscle groups each training day can be particularly useful.
Training just one muscle group per day will likely mean that you’ll be going to the gym up to 7 times each week.
By combining the appropriate muscle groups, like chest and abs, in a single day, you can actually reduce your workout days to around 3.
Although some people have enough time to go to the gym every day, most of us have other things we need to be getting on with too.

As you need to allow enough time to properly work both muscle groups, you could spend up to two or more hours in the gym each day you plan on training.

Should You Do Chest And Abs On The Same Day?
There aren’t too many reasons why you should or shouldn’t do chest and abs on the same day.
As long as both muscle groups are healthy and fully recovered from any other exercise, your personal preference will likely be the biggest deciding factor as to whether you should do them both on the same day or not.
Should You Do Abs Before Chest?
As a general rule, it’s a good idea to do the larger of the two muscle groups first. In this case, your chest.
Your abs will be working as stabilizing muscles in some chest exercises, so they’ll need to be as fresh as possible to help you lift more weight during your chest workout.
Can You Do Abs In The Morning And Chest In The Evening?
Yes, you can but it might not be the most effective way of doing things.
