A review of creatine supplementation concluded that creatine increases muscle hypertrophy (i.e. muscle growth) in all healthy young populations.
Some of the studies even showed that creatine increases muscle growth in untrained populations, suggesting that creatine was the direct cause of increased muscle mass.

One of the lesser-known benefits of creatine is its ability to improve mental function.
In a study of older people, creatine improved the subjects’ memory and recall ability.

For example, in one study, 15 people took either a placebo or 20g of creatine per day for 5 days before performing a cycle test.
Interestingly, those who took creatine had delayed onset of fatigue during the test.

It’s made up of a bunch of different ingredients, such as whey protein, carbohydrates, and fatty acids.

It goes without saying that the main goal of taking mass gainer is to gain weight.
Now, in order to gain weight, you need to be in a calorie surplus. This means that you need to be consuming more calories than you’re burning.

But as a hard gainer, it can be hard to bulk up as your metabolism is naturally higher.
(Meaning you burn more calories at rest.)
By taking mass gainer, you can greatly increase your calorie intake in a simple drink that’s easy to make.
As a result, you’ll gain MORE weight than if you took mass gainer whilst working out.
Mass Gainer Is Helpful If You Don’t Have Time To Meal Prep
A common problem I hear from hard gainers is that they don’t have the time to prepare and eat 5 heavy meals a day.
And I get that.
Well, the great news is that many mass gainers contain well over 1000 calories.
So if you’re aiming for 3000 calories a day, rather than eating 5 large meals, you can eat 3 big meals and have a mass gainer shake. This way, you can achieve your calorie intake without spending hours upon hours in the kitchen.
Are There Any Benefits of Taking Creatine And Mass Gainer Together?
As there are currently no studies, it’s unclear whether taking creatine and Mass Gainer together provides further benefits than taking them individually.
When Is The Best Time To Take Creatine And Mass Gainer Together?
Research shows that creatine is best taken after your workout for maximizing muscle and strength gains.
As for mass gainer, it doesn’t really matter what time of day you take it.
If your goal is to gain as much muscle as possible, it’s probably best to take both these supplements after working out.
- There are no studies which suggest that it’s unsafe to take creatine and mass gainer together.
- Since mass gainer already contains creatine, you should have no problem taking them together assuming your body can tolerate mass gainer.
- There’s limited evidence that mixing creatine and mass gainer provides additional benefits than taking them in isolation.
