It seems the best way to start any kinds of rumors is to become a social media fitness guru.
In this case, I’m talking about the Gabe Deutsch steroid rumours that have been circulating on many fitness forums.
While anabolic steroid use is widespread in the bodybuilding industry, I find thatmaking such claims without any substantial research is unfair to the guy.
That’s why I’ve spent the last few days going through his YouTube and social media accounts to see if there’s any truth to the claims that his physique isn’t natural.
Here’s what I found.
Is Gabe Deutsch Natty?
There’s no definitive evidence to suggest that Gabe Deutsch has taken steroids. While he’s never publicly revealed his natty status, he has referred to himself as natty in the title of one of his YouTube videos.
Having analyzed Gabe’s physique in-depth, I’ve found many features which suggest that he’s natural, but a couple which may hint at some steroid use.
Reasons Why Gabe Deutsch Appears Natty
Lack of HGH Gut
Many bodybuilders take human growth hormone (HGH) as part of their steroid cycle.
One of the side effects of this is that organs can swell up, and that pushes out the so-called HGH gut.
Looking at various photos of Gabe from over the years, he doesn’t seem to experience this effect which implies that he doesn’t take HGH.
People that train for a ripped body always seek those popping veins. They’re a solid indicator of how much muscle and little fat you have.
But certain types of steroids will produce those vascular veins even if you’re not working out.
Looking at Gabe Deutsch’s Instagram profile, you can see that he’s got prominent veins in his forearms and biceps, but nothing out of the ordinary. This may suggest that he’s natural.
No Sign Of Hair Loss
One of the most common problems with anabolic steroids is that they may increase facial hair while decreasing head hair. Many steroid users hide this with a tightly cut hairstyle.
Looking through Gabe’s Instagram, it’s clear to see that his head hair is still well intact and there’s no signs of baldness/hair loss.
This is another reason that suggests he’s natural.
Natural Shaped Pectorals
Ironically, PEDs which boost testosterone and growth hormone have also been linked to men developing enlarged breast tissue.
It’s important to point out that enlarged breast tissue and ripped pecs aren’t the same thing – here, we’re talking about soft breast tissue in the form of fat.
While Gabe has large pecs, there’s no evidence that he suffers from gyno or enlarged breast tissue.
Reasons Why People Think Gabe Deutsch Takes Steroids
Massive Shoulders And Traps
Oversized shoulders are one of the most common signs of steroid use. The deltoids and traps in the upper back have a large number of androgen receptors.
As a result, you often see shoulders and traps that are out-of-proportion, and that seems to be the case with Gabe in some photos.
Some Evidence of Back Acne
In developing teenagers, acne is often caused by fluctuating hormones, like testosterone. And the same thing can happen to people who use anabolic steroids.
With steroid use, the skin change is quite sudden and noticeable and not easily hidden, especially if you’re an influencer who’s on camera a lot of the time.
In some photos of Gabe, you can see that he has experienced back acne at some point.
To be clear, not everyone who has back acne takes steroids, but back acne is often a side effect of steroid use.
Is It Possible To Bulk Up Like Gabe Deutsch Naturally?
I personally believe that it’s possible, but extremely challenging to obtain a physique like Gabe Deutsch naturally.
It’s quite clear that he’s genetically gifted, and he obviously consistently trains hard and eats the right food.
If you wanted to look like Gabe naturally, it would take a lot of sacrifice, discipline, time, and pain.
- Gabe Deutsch has never publicly revealed whether or not he takes steroids.
- His physique has many features which suggests that he is indeed natty, but other features which may hint at steroid use.
Hope this helped!
