I’ve sprinkled Olde Thompson Himalayan Pink Salt on my meals every single day for the last few weeks so I feel qualified to publish this unbiased review.
This Himalayan Pink Salt (Amazon) is so, so tasty.
I’ve used it on Stir-frys, Soup, Meats, Veg and it enhances the flavor superbly of each one of them.
In fact it’s that good, I salivate each time I see the bottle.
What I also like about this particular Himalayan Pink Salt is that the grains are super fine.
(Unlike 99% of other Himalayan Pink Salt which is coarse when bottled.)
Coarse salt needs grinding, which I personally don’t like as the granules end up much chunkier and inconsistent in size, leading to an uneven coverage on food.
The only downside of Olde Thompson Himalayan Pink Salt is that it’s not super cheap at just under $10 for a 454g bottle.
In the grand scheme of things, $10 for a 6 month supply of high-quality Himalayan Pink Salt (Amazon) is still a bargain in my opinion.
How I use Olde Thompson Himalayan Pink Salt
As previously mentioned, Olde Thompson Himalayan Pink Salt tastes amazing with pretty much any savory meal.
I sprinkle just enough on my meals to amplify the mouth-watering flavors of meat, and to spark some life into otherwise bland Vegetables.
The saying “A little goes a long way” applies to this Salt too.
It can really overpower your meals if you use too much.
If I’m hungover, I’ll have a quarter teaspoon of it stirred in a glass of filtered water first thing in the morning.
This makes me feel a little bit sharper and more energized.
(Replacing the electrolytes and minerals lost in the many Beer-induced toilet trips is key to recovery.)
